We collaborated with Kiersten Steven at Yes Creative to create this festive spot for Olipop's Crisp Apple holiday soda! Using the incredible live-action village miniature created by Yes and shot by Buddy Bleckley, we created an even mini-er CG miniature of the village and can, nestled in a magical snow globe.
Our starting point was a live-action plate, using a stand-in snow globe. From there, the practical motion was carefully matchmoved and the stand-in was replaced by our CG snowglobe and village.
We had a jolly ole time creating snowy hills, homes and these bristly procedural CG trees from the live action set (pictured below) in Blender's Geometry nodes.
What a cozy little snowglobe! These green felt tree buddies won out in the end, but the bristly procedural trees live on in our hearts.
